Occupational therapy that changes what you can do
A psychologist works on how you think and feel. We work on what you actually do — the routines, skills and strategies that turn good intentions into daily life.
Mental Health Specialists
Occupational therapy built around psychosocial disability, anxiety, mood and emotional regulation — not a general clinic doing a bit of everything.
Routines That Actually Stick
We build achievable daily schedules together, so structure and stability become something you can maintain, not another thing to manage.
Emotional Regulation Skills
Practical coping strategies, mindfulness and anxiety management techniques you can use in the moments that matter.
Executive Function Support
Planning, decision-making and organisation skills for people whose thinking gets in the way of doing.
Community Participation
Support to reconnect with friendships, volunteering, study or work — the parts of life that give recovery its purpose.
Sensory-Informed Practice
Customised sensory strategies to improve focus and reduce anxiety, drawing on neurofeedback and brain-training technology.
In Person or Telehealth
Face-to-face across Perth, or secure telehealth Australia-wide when getting to a clinic is the barrier.
Collaborative Care
We work alongside your GP, psychologist, support coordinator and family so everyone is working to the same plan.
Therapy works when you feel safe enough to try
Progress rarely starts with a technique. It starts with someone who listens properly, moves at your pace, and celebrates the small wins with you.

Occupational therapy, however you are funded
Whatever your funding pathway, the therapy is the same: practical, evidence-based and built around your goals. Highlighted services are our most requested.
An Occupational Therapist who also does neurofeedback
Most OTs refer you elsewhere for brain training. Most neurofeedback providers are not clinicians. Bita is both — so your therapy and your NeurOptimal® brain training are planned together, by one person who knows your goals.
- No diagnosis required
- No brain scan needed
- Safe for all ages

Recovery built on practical skills, not symptom checklists
Occupational therapy in mental health focuses on practical skill-building and holistic recovery. We address the barriers that affect everyday life — from personal care to community participation — rather than managing symptoms alone.
- Building routines and structure you can maintain
- Emotional regulation and coping strategies
- Planning, decision-making and organisation skills
- Social engagement, study and work participation
- Customised sensory strategies for focus and anxiety
We work alongside support coordinators, psychologists and families so therapy fits into one coherent plan, aligned to your goals, strengths and recovery journey.
Starting is simpler than you think
No referral needed to begin, and nothing to commit to until you have spoken to us.
Free 15-minute chat
Tell us what is getting in the way. We will tell you honestly whether OT is the right support, and how funding could work.
Assessment
A thorough, person-centred assessment of daily functioning, routines, sensory profile and the goals that matter to you.
Your plan
Practical strategies and a therapy plan built around your strengths and recovery journey — shared with your care team if you want.
Review and progress
We track what is changing, adjust the plan, and keep working towards independence rather than dependence on us.

Common questions
Still unsure? The free 15-minute chat exists exactly for this.
Do I need a diagnosis or referral to see an OT?
No. You can book directly with us for private sessions. A referral is only needed for particular funding pathways — a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan for Medicare rebates, or an approved NDIS plan for NDIS funding. We can talk you through which applies in the free 15-minute chat.
How is occupational therapy different from seeing a psychologist?
A psychologist generally works on how you think and feel. Occupational therapy works on what you actually do — routines, daily living skills, sensory strategies, work and study participation. The two complement each other well, and we often work alongside a psychologist rather than instead of one.
Can I use NDIS, Medicare or DVA funding?
Yes. We support NDIS (self, plan and agency-managed), Medicare under a GP Mental Health Treatment Plan or Chronic Disease Management plan, DVA, Home Care Packages and private health insurance. Fees and inclusions are listed on our fees page.
Do you offer telehealth if I am not in Perth?
Yes. We provide secure telehealth and virtual therapy Australia-wide — NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS and NT. Many clients combine an in-person assessment in Perth with ongoing telehealth sessions.
Which areas of Perth do you cover?
Our clinic is in Wembley, and we regularly see clients from Trigg, Gwelup, Innaloo, Balcatta, Karrinyup, Doubleview, North Beach, North Perth, East Perth, South Perth, Osborne Park and Watermans Bay.
What is neurofeedback, and do I need it?
Neurofeedback is non-invasive brain training that supports focus, sleep, mood and resilience. It is optional and never required — no brain scan or diagnosis is needed with the NeurOptimal® system we use. Some clients use it alongside OT, others do not use it at all.
Do you work with children as well as adults?
Yes — children, adults and older adults. Bita works across the lifespan, including autism and ADHD support for kids, adult mental health and capacity building, and aged care.
How soon can I be seen?
Usually within days rather than weeks. Start with the free 15-minute chat and we will find the earliest suitable appointment, in person or via telehealth.
